Well, the results are in of six Ryan Howard nickname polls, which generated more than 100 suggestions from creative fans. The most popular choices, mostly according to percentage of votes, but in a couple of cases by total number of votes, made the final cut. Let's pick a winner:
Howardini (he's a magician with the bat!)
ReplyDeleteThe first Phillies slugger after about 2037 can have the nickname "Broad Street Bomber," but until CBP is torn down and a new stadium is built on the site where the Vet once stood, Howard will have to choose a street between 6th and 10th if he wants such a geographic-sounding nickname.
ReplyDeleteOr, instead, the "Pattison Avenue Powerhouse"?
this is what happens when white people pick nicknames
ReplyDeleteRhyno,The Ryan King, H-Bomb, Big Easy, All-Howerful, Howabunga, Deep 6, Mr. Clean, Howitzer, Whambino, Big Smooth, Broad Street Bomber. They're all stupid. The only one close to not embarrassing is Big Smooth. Mr. Clean, Howitzer, Whambino, All-Howerful, come on!!!!!!
please stop! this is the dumbest idea ever! there's no need for some stupid nickname! do you really think one of these lame choices will catch on?
ReplyDeletethose all blow. "Howitzer", "Ryno (not sSnberg) Howard", "Howardini"? Come on. You people should be dropped from the Ben Franklin bridge. Keep it simple. Ryan "Smash" Howard. One word to desribe his swing, size, power.
ReplyDeleteWatch .. when it's all said and done, we'll probably end up just calling him, The Big Guy. Or Mr. Big.
ReplyDeleteWhat about RYFLY, Combination of the term big fly and his first name.
ReplyDeleteDumb idea. You can't force a nickname. Find something better to do with your time. Next topic please.
